Writing to Recognize the Sacred in Our Lives: Workshop

Nan Phifer, an associate director of the Oregon Writing Project at the University of Oregon, Eugene, and author of Memoirs of the Soul, will lead a writing retreat at the Shalom Prayer Center, northeast of Salem, on Jan. 23-24. Participants will use writing to explore some of their most meaningful experiences and apply a medieval, monastic, practice, Lectio Divina, to their own texts. Retreat hours: Friday, 7-8:30 p.m. –Saturday, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m
Fees: $120. Deposit $50, includes breakfast and lunch.
