Submit to Salem Chapter!

What we want:
Salem Chapter is interested in posting writing tips, writing articles, and writing how-to’s along with flash fiction, short nonfiction, and poetry from all writers willing to share (please no submissions with gratuitous language, sex, or violence or material that seeks to harm, endanger, or threaten any person or persons because we'll have to turn you down and we don't want to turn away writers).

Flash fiction and creative nonfiction submissions should be no more than 1000 words and poetry submissions should be no more than two short poems or one long poem. We don’t have a word count requirement if you want to share a tip, an article, or a how-to, but please no dissertation lengths. The general rule of thumb is short and to the point.

All posted submissions will be attributed to the author on the blog.

What do you get out of it?
One word: publicity. We can’t offer payment, but we can offer publicity. For 2011, the Salem Chapter received 1,351 visitors with 2,675 page views (and we weren’t really posting all that much). We’ll also promote your work on our Facebook page.

Want to submit? Here are the details:
Submissions MUST be your own original work and please make sure it is as polished as possible as we will post “as is.” If you’d like to submit to the Salem Chapter, please send your submissions as a .doc or .rtf attachment along with a short bio and picture of yourself (optional) to wwsalemchapter@gmail.com.

Please make sure to put in the subject of the email what you are submitting, such as “Writing Tip Submission.”
